My approach
My counselling practice is grounded in the principles of empathy, warmth and acceptance. I offer a place where all aspects of you can be accepted without judgment. It’s a space where you can experience the magic of being fully heard and understood. This approach guides you to connecting with your own wisdom about who you are, how you relate to others and what you want in life.
I will not tell you what to do. Instead, I will work with you to deeply understand who you are and what is going on for you. I will give you a space in which every aspect of you is welcome. I will work collaboratively with you to empower you to heal and grow, to reach a place where you feel you can cope with whatever life throws at you and thrive in whatever way is in tune with your values.
People tell me they find me warm, welcoming and down to earth.
I can help with issues that include depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem or confidence, grief and loss, relationship issues, your values and sense of meaning in life. My counselling training is integrative, which means I can draw on different ways of understanding mental health difficulties, and my practice is grounded in the person-centred approach, focused on you and your needs.
I engage in regular CPD and am always working to make my practice a safe space for people of diverse cultures, identities and abilities. I am insured, in regular supervision and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
